strpbrk(3) Library Functions Manual strpbrk(3) NAME strpbrk - Find one of a set of bytes in a string LIBRARY Standard C Library (libc.so, libc.a) SYNOPSIS #include <string.h> char *strpbrk( const char *s1, const char *s2); STANDARDS Interfaces documented on this reference page conform to industry stan- dards as follows: strpbrk(): XPG4, XPG4-UNIX Refer to the standards(5) reference page for more information about in- dustry standards and associated tags. PARAMETERS Specifies a string being searched. Specifies a set of bytes in a string. DESCRIPTION The strpbrk() function scans the string pointed to by the s1 parameter for the first occurrence of any byte in the string pointed to by the s2 parameter. The strpbrk() function treats the s2 parameter as a series of bytes and does not search for multibyte characters. The wcspbrk() function provides the same functionality but searches for characters rather than bytes. RETURN VALUES Upon successful completion, the strpbrk() function returns a pointer to the matched byte. When no byte in the string pointed to by the s2 para- meter occurs in the string pointed to by the s1 parameter, a null pointer is returned.
