sched_get_priority_max(3) Library Functions Manual sched_get_priority_max(3) NAME sched_get_priority_max, sched_get_priority_min - Return the maximum or minimum priority for the specified scheduling policy (P1003.1b) SYNOPSIS #include <sched.h> int sched_get_priority_max ( int policy); int sched_get_priority_min ( int policy); PARAMETERS policy One of the scheduling policies as defined in <sched.h>. DESCRIPTION The sched_get_priority_max and sched_get_priority_min functions return the maximum or minimum priority for the specified scheduling policy. The value of the policy argument must be one of the scheduling policies (SCHED_FIFO, SCHED_RR, or SCHED_OTHER), as defined in <sched.h>. No special privileges are needed to use the sched_get_priority_max and sched_get_priority_min functions. RETURN VALUES On a successful call, the requested value is returned. If a call fails to complete successfully, a value of -1 is returned, and errno is set to indicate the error. ERRORS The sched_get_priority_max and sched_get_priority_min functions fail under the following condition: [EINVAL] The value of the policy argument does not represent a defined scheduling policy.
