curs_delch(3) Library Functions Manual curs_delch(3) NAME curs_delch, delch, wdelch, mvdelch, mvwdelch - Delete the character un- der the cursor in a Curses window LIBRARY Curses Library (libcurses.a, libcurses.so) SYNOPSIS #include <curses.h> int delch(void); int wdelch(WINDOW *win); int mvdelch(int y, int x); int mvwdelch(WINDOW *win, int y, int x); STANDARDS Interfaces documented on this reference page conform to industry stan- dards as follows: delch, wdelch, mvdelch, mvwdelch: XPG4, XPG4-UNIX Refer to the standards(5) reference page for more information about in- dustry standards and associated tags. DESCRIPTION These routines do the following: Delete the character under the cursor in the current or specified window Move all characters that are to the right of the cursor and on the same line to the left one position Fill the last character on the line with a blank. These routines do not change the cursor position (after moving to y, x, if specified). This does not imply use of the hardware delete-charac- ter feature. NOTES The header file curses.h automatically includes the header file stdio.h. Note that delch, mvdelch, and mvwdelch may be macros.
