ldfhread(3) Library Functions Manual ldfhread(3)
NAME
ldfhread - read the file header of a common object file
SYNOPSIS
#include <stdio.h>
#include <filehdr.h>
#include <syms.h>
#include <ldfcn.h>
int ldfhread (ldptr, filehead)
LDFILE *ldptr;
FILHDR *filehead;
DESCRIPTION
ldfhread reads the file header of the common object file currently as-
sociated with ldptr . It reads the file header into the area of memory
beginning at filehead.
ldfhread returns SUCCESS or FAILURE. If ldfhread cannot read the file
header, it fails.
Usually, ldfhread can be avoided by using the macro HEADER(ldptr) de-
fined in <ldfcn.h> (see ldfcn(4)). Note that the information in HEADER
is swapped, if necessary. The information in any field, fieldname, of
the file header can be accessed using HEADER(ldptr).fieldname.
The program must be loaded with the object file access routine library
libmld.a.
