CHKEY(1) FreeBSD General Commands Manual CHKEY(1) NAME chkey - change your encryption key SYNOPSIS chkey DEPRECATION NOTICE chkey is deprecated and is not available as of FreeBSD 15.0. DESCRIPTION The chkey utility prompts the user for their login password, and uses it to encrypt a new encryption key for the user to be stored in the publickey(5) database.
