cfsetospeed(3) Library Functions Manual cfsetospeed(3) NAME cfsetospeed - Sets the output baud rate for a terminal LIBRARY Standard C Library (libc.so, libc.a) SYNOPSIS #include <termios.h> int cfsetospeed( struct termios *termios_p, speed_t speed); STANDARDS Interfaces documented on this reference page conform to industry stan- dards as follows: cfsetospeed(): POSIX.1, XPG4, XPG4-UNIX Refer to the standards(5) reference page for more information about in- dustry standards and associated tags. PARAMETERS Points to a termios structure containing the output baud rate. Speci- fies the new output baud rate. DESCRIPTION The cfsetospeed() function sets the output baud rate stored in the structure pointed to by the termios_p parameter to the speed specified by the speed parameter. The zero baud rate, B0, is used to terminate the connection. If B0 is specified, the modem control lines are no longer asserted. Normally, this disconnects the line. There is no effect on the baud rates set in the hardware or on modem control lines until a subsequent successful call is made to the tcse- tattr() function on the same termios structure. RETURN VALUES Upon successful completion, the cfsetospeed() function returns a value of 0 (zero). Otherwise, a value of -1 is returned.
